Ok so it is time to play catch up again. I got out of the blogging habit but I am back again now! So here's to getting caught up before the new baby comes and I fall behind again. :)
Spring break didn't go exactly like anticipated because of Mother Nature but we all made the best of it. Who plans to deal with snow on spring break anyway? So some of the things we were planning on doing were crossed off the list but we added some other things too.
We started spring break off right and went to get some ice cream right after school on Friday. It was beautiful that day so we went to the park as soon as we were done.
On Monday we made a trip to the Discovery Center. It was still pretty nice out and we played outside a majority of the time. Tuesday and Wednesday were not documented for some reason but we had a good time on those days too.
On Thursday we celebrated Troublemakers birthday with a field trip to Lawrence. We went to the natural history museum on KU's campus, ate at the Union, and then went to Jump for Joy (an inflatable jumpy house). We were all tired but had a great day.
The last day of spring break and Troublemakers birthday celebration deserve their own post so stay tuned for those.

Snow Day Fun
February brought the snow we had been lacking for awhile. And it brought a lot. School was cancelled three days in a weeks time. Bumpkin and Troublemaker are finally at the age where they love the snow. Get them all bumbled up and they will stay out there forever. Mimi on the other hand was overwhelmed by the amount of snow and only stayed out for a few minutes.
Before the snow stopped though we decided to bring the fun inside. We got out cookie cutters, food color tinted spray bottles, and various craft supplies. Mimi was really only interested in eating the snow but the others loved making colorful mountains.
Once the snow slowed and he wind died down they spent the rest of the time outside.
Finally, a few days later we went outside and mommy taught the girls the art of making snowman. They made a girl but then she needed a husband. :). They lost interest before they tried to complete the rest of the family.
